Reply with quote | #5 | Liz, There are plenty of expats living on Roatan as well as many who formerly lived there. Just as in life and living anywhere, personal experiences run to both extremes of positive and negative. Since this web site is about vacationing on the island, I doubt that it is followed by many who live there. Take a look at http://www.roatannet.com or join the hondo1 email list server: http://www.marrder.com/hondo1/default.htm |

Chris, The island of Roatan can cost you at a comfort level of 'B' about 700 dollars a month. We own a house on a south hill, full 240 degrees for the last 9 yrs. If you want to rent depending on your style can run $200 to $1200 and more a month. I'm an architect, semi-retired where could I direct you? Do you want to live here or just hang out for awhile? Many cultural holes to look out for. Roberts |
