October, 2008 - Barefoot Cay, a small luxury resort built on a private cay in Roatan, has opened Barefoot Divers dive center. The 6000 square foot facility is located on Roatan’s south shore and has an extensive scuba and water activity center on the first floor. On the second floor are The Lofts, five stunning oceanview studios and suites designed to pamper individual luxury travelers or dive groups. Barefoot Divers is a PADI Authorized Dive Center that provides resort guests, day visitors, and Roatan residents with valet diving service in small groups and the largest selection of scuba gear in the Bay Islands. Divers also enjoy private lockers and changing areas, hot showers, refreshments, spa services, a Marine Park office, and a popular social veranda. A studio for underwater photography and videography is being constructed. All dives are led by guides who have PADI Instructor-level credentials and extensive knowledge of dive sites around Roatan and the surrounding Bay Islands. The Lofts provide gorgeous accommodations with first-class amenities such as Heavenly Beds, air conditioning, gourmet kitchens, glamour lighting, and unique louvered walls that open up completely to spacious balconies with views of the Caribbean Sea. The 3 loft studios and 2 loft suites have capacity for up to 14 people. For larger groups, add beachfront villas or bungalows on Barefoot Cay, increasing capacity to 26. Guests at The Lofts have full access to Barefoot Cay’s private pool, beach, and meal service either as a per-day choice or all-inclusive package. Photos and details are available. info@roatan.com |
